Expanding STEM Ph.D. Funding Streams Workshop 2025 Event Materials
UIDP’s Expanding STEM Ph.D. Funding Streams Workshop was held Sept. 29-30, 2025, at NSF Headquarters in Alexandria, VA. With support from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF Award #2501504), the invitation-only workshop brought together selected university and industry partners to design a jointly funded Ph.D. fellowship model for the United States. Through collaborative discussions, participants explored approaches for universities and companies to co-support doctoral education and research, advancing experiential learning and strengthening the nation’s research workforce.
