July 12-16, 2021: Oxford UIDP Summit
UIDP is back at Oxford!
The University of Oxford, in collaboration with UIDP, will host a summit in Oxford, UK. This event will bring together global businesses, top universities and leading policymakers from both sides of the Atlantic to develop new policies, process, and approaches for addressing R&D priorities in areas such as AI, talent and workforce development, and broader societal interests. We will also present meaningful research results in the science of science, identifying new approaches for adoption by both participants and the broader community.
By convening academic, corporate, government, and non-profit thought leaders and practitioners from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Europe, we will create a unique opportunity to discuss contemporary issues affecting collaboration across sectors. We’ll also delve into ways government agencies can support fertile environments for advancing partnerships that accelerate innovation and positive societal benefits.
Summit sessions will:
- Identify collaboration and partnership issues uncovered during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as key strategies developed to summon a comprehensive response to emerging research needs shared by government, academia, industry, and the public at large.
- Uncover examples of and opportunities for the use of AI and learn from each other as we increasingly understand the complexity and scale of the underlying data, and begin to turn to AI and machine learning solutions to extract meaning and consider action.
- Share company leaders’ experiences of new models to develop global partnerships and engagement with research institutions as shifting global structures prompt them to consider how to intelligently prepare for the future.
- Explore best practices and evolving guidance for workforce and talent development, to include preparing the next generation of students to support for career continuity.
