Frequently Asked Questions, UIDPVirtual 2020

UIDP is grateful to the research and development team at Texas A&M for their hard work and remarkable efforts over years of planning for our spring 2020 conference. Below are frequently asked questions designed to clarify next steps regarding its cancellation and our transition to a virtual event, UIDPVirtual 2020.

What if I registered for the UIDP spring conference? Do I need to register again?

No. Your registration will automatically be transferred to UIDPVirtual 2020, and you’ll receive updated information for logging in and accessing the conference online. If you have any questions, please contact UIDP.

I registered for a UIDP spring conference workshop. Is that included in UIDPVirtual 2020?

Two workshops, “Perspectives on Advanced Corporate Affiliate Programs” and “Contemporary Contracting Approaches” will be presented in sessions on Monday, March 23.

“Communicating U-I Partnerships to Colleagues and Community” will be offered at UIDP at Penn State in September 2020.

I haven’t registered yet. How can I register for UIDPVirtual 2020?

Registration is open! See details. Once you register, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to connect to the conference.

What is a virtual conference?

A virtual conference is hosted entirely over the internet. It allows attendees to access and hear presentations live from their computers. You’ll be able to watch conference presentations and participate with questions and comments in real time.

When you register for UIDPVirtual 2020, you’ll also be able to access recorded sessions and download materials after the event, creating an archive of valuable resources you can access again and again.

What are the technical requirements needed to participate?

You will need an internet connection and a computer with audio capabilities, or you may access audio via telephone connection. The sessions will be streamed using the GoToWebinar platform. Registrants will receive instructions for testing the platform prior to the event and will receive email reminders plus a link to access each session before it starts.

How will I access the recordings and materials?

All conference sessions will be recorded and posted on the UIDP website at the end of the event, so you can view all UIDPVirtual 2020 sessions at your convenience. Look for email communication from UIDP after the conference for details.

Will individual sessions be available for purchase?

UIDP does not offer individual sessions for purchase at this time. We are offering a competitively-priced One-Day Pass ($125 for members/$150 for non-members) for those who cannot join us for all of UIDPVirtual 2020. Purchase of the One-Day Pass includes both live and on-demand access to the day’s sessions after the event.

How much does UIDPVirtual 2020 cost?

If you already registered for our spring UIDP live conference, there is no additional cost to attend UIDPVirtual 2020. Your registration will automatically be transferred to the virtual event, and you’ll receive updated information for logging in and accessing the conference.
