Associate Vice President Industry Engagement

Boston University invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Vice President (AVP) for Industry Engagement.  The newly formed Office of Industry Engagement will oversee the areas of Corporate Relations and Corporate Sponsored Research with the goal of holistically addressing the needs of companies wishing to engage the University and providing a bridge between industry and the research and educational domains of the University. The AVP and team will develop sustainable relationships with industry, leading to increased investment in University priorities in alignment with corporate priorities. This includes, but is not limited to, working with University stakeholders to develop long-range strategic planning for growing new and existing collaborations; identifying and cultivating new revenue streams including sponsored research and philanthropy; supporting the growth of research operations through interactions with industry contacts, philanthropic organizations and collaborating institutions; promoting the University within the broader industry context and working collaboratively with other areas of the University to publicize the work of the faculty; and developing strong working relationships with faculty, University leadership and staff.

Assistant Director of Innovation & Technology Commercialization

Develops and maintains strong working relationships with departments, colleges, and research centers. Works directly with the LSU Research and Technology Foundation on IP, licensing, and commercialization issues.

Responsible for developing, preparing, and delivering institutional professional training to help faculty, staff, and the community commercialize ideas and technologies. Interacts directly with faculty to help train them in the commercialization process. Provide training to staff as well as supervise and managing staff within the Office of Intellectual Property, Commercialization, and Development.

Assists the Assistant Vice President for Research in processing material transfer, cooperative endeavor, non-disclosure and other similar types of agreements, as well as helping with the preparation and filing of provisional patent applications.

Senior Grants & Contracts Manager (RAST Member)

The Senior Grants and Projects Manager will work closely with leading faculty and researchers across the various Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health academic departments in the financial and general management of sponsored and non-sponsored awards. The Senior Grants & Contracts Manager will be part of a small, high performing team, referred to as the Research Administration Support Team (RAST), and will have diverse experiences — through assignments aimed at helping a variety of different faculty members, departments and research centers. Director of Development – Corporate Relations
