Mitacs (Canada) Programs (2017)

Learn about exciting models in which higher education, government, and industry can collaborate to co-develop next generation technologies with prospective procurement chains and customers to advance strategic partnerships.

Mitacs is a Canadian nonprofit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs for 17 years. Working with 60 universities, thousands of companies, and both federal and provincial governments, Mitacs builds partnerships that support industrial and social innovation in Canada.

This webinar explored ways in which higher education, government, and industry can collaborate to co-develop next generation technologies with prospective procurement chains and customers and advance strategic partnerships. The speakers examined one Canadian model in which graduate students are mobilized to act as conduits to promote applied research and technology transfer across various sectors and build/support B2B collaborations via university applied research.
