UIDP members featured in Report on Research Compliance article

RRC_imageFor many universities, traditional strategies for negotiating sponsored research agreements with industry are not producing the desired results. In response, some schools are developing new models that facilitate industry engagement, catalyze the depth and breadth of collaborative arrangements and better transfer basic and applied research.

In late February, in conjunction with the Association of American Universities (AAU), the UIDP hosted a National Town Hall webinar – Spurring University-Industry collaborations through New Models and Approaches. The webinar featured speakers from both the University of Minnesota and Penn State –  UIDP member institutions pioneering innovative university-industry (U-I) collaboration – who shared how their new approaches are helping them achieve their academic and research goals. Report on Research Compliance published a story, “UM, Penn State Finding Success with Revamped IP Policies, Options” in the June issue. The UIDP has secured the rights for you to read the article here and, if you missed the webinar, watch it here.
