This webinar offered an inside look at Canada’s i2I Research & Innovation Institute, an initiative designed to embed commercialization training and change culture within research environments, accelerating pathways from discovery to impact. This session highlighted how i2I equips graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, innovation intermediaries, and faculty with the skills, mindset, and support needed to translate research into meaningful outcomes. The session explored the program’s continued growth, including the launch of eight cohorts across Canada, the Faculty Innovation Fellows Program, and a new commercialization-focused postdoctoral stream. i2I’s national academic director and a program alumnus also shared insights from the three core graduate pathways and key learnings from tracking outcomes across the network.
