embership is limited to qualified university and industry organizations, but service providers and other organizations that are not eligible for general UIDP membership can still participate in the UIDP community.
Opportunities include speaking at events, leading workshops, sponsoring programs, presenting webinars, collaborating on publications, and becoming a UIDP Community Partner.
UIDP brings together representatives from leading research universities and innovative companies to develop practical approaches to university-industry collaboration. Organizations with relevant expertise, services, tools, or research can contribute to this work in several ways.
How can a nonmember organization engage with UIDP?
There are many ways service providers can engage with UIDP.
Speak or lead a workshop at a UIDP event
Share practical expertise with university and industry professionals by proposing a presentation, panel contribution, or interactive workshop.
UIDP welcomes ideas that address issues affecting university-industry research partnerships and offer useful, substantive insights for its community.
Submit Your Topic & InterestSponsor a UIDP event
Organizations can sponsor UIDP meetings, regional events, workshops, and other educational programs. Sponsorship can provide opportunities to:

Organizations and agencies that are not eligible for general membership—but whose missions and work complement UIDP—may be eligible to become UIDP Community Partners.
Community Partners provide expertise, services, and tools that strengthen the university-industry ecosystem. They align publicly with UIDP’s mission, invest in the organization, and engage with UIDP members through relevant programming and focused collaborations.
