UIDP Webinar: The Center for Digital Twins in Manufacturing | An NSF IUCRC Overview
UIDP hosted a dynamic webinar featuring the dynamic webinar featuring the Center for Digital Twins in Manufacturing, an NSF IUCRC led by the University of Michigan and Arizona State University. The center brings together partners to develop a shared digital twin framework that improves interoperability, scalability, and decision-making across manufacturing systems.
As the center officially launches this March, leaders shared early research directions, explained how the IUCRC model supports precompetitive collaboration, and highlighted opportunities for organizations to engage and help shape the research agenda.
Participants gained insights into:
- Inside the Center for Digital Twins in Manufacturing: Vision, research focus, and how digital twins are improving interoperability, scalability, and decision-making
- Research in Action: Testbeds and early use cases showing industry–academic collaboration on real manufacturing challenges
- Engaging Through the NSF IUCRC Model: Membership benefits and ways organizations can shape and participate in the research portfolio
