UIDP Webinar Recording: Mission in Motion: What’s in It for Me? Expanding HBCU Sponsored Research Capacity
Over the past year, UIDP (uidp.org) has been exploring strategic ways its member organizations can engage more fully with historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). There are many efforts underway across the partnership continuum, but the specific focus of this initiative is building and strengthening HBCU research capacity and expanding opportunities to participate in research, which has downstream benefits on talent development. This is the emphasis of an upcoming event being held March 28-29, 2022 in Atlanta (Mission in Motion), which convenes industry, academia, government, and non-profits to share practical approaches and forge new relationships. This webinar offered a discussion format for HBCU leadership to learn about this event’s goals, why industry is championing it and attending, and what we envision will be accomplished.
