West coast University Engagement Bootcamps a great success
The two recent UIDP Academy: University Engagement Bootcamps in California, one in Mountain View and the other in SanFrancisco, were both well-attended.
There was a great lineup of speakers who were strategically assembled from a selected set of universities and industries. Speakers provided insights into what universities think about corporate partnering and provided examples of different approaches to help attendees refine their company value proposition. They also provided insights into how to effectively manage university partnerships and understand the issues to consider when collaborating with academia. In addition, strategic issues were covered, including the rationale for collaboration and expectations and structures for engagement.
