Membership with the UIDP is institutional, meaning any employee of a UIDP Member Organization can gain full access to membership services, resources and participate in our activities as a member representative.
Use these steps to gain access:
Step 1: Register for the Members-Only Portal.
This is how members access all UIDP resources. You will use your professional email address to be granted access as a member representative. After registering, allow 1 business day for approval or email info@uidp.net to minimize wait time.
Step 2: Join the UIDP Email Newsletter.
It’s easy to participate. Find out about upcoming activities that appeal to your job function by subscribing to our email list.
Quick ways to further engage:
As a UIDP member representative, you gain access to an experienced global network of university–industry professionals. Promote relevant opportunities, build valuable relationships, identify potential partners, and receive personalized support from UIDP’s expert team.
Get involved in a UIDP Project. Learn more about our current initiatives and contact info@uidp.net to get involved or propose a new project!
Grow your U-I collaboration network. Connect with the UIDP on LinkedIn and myUIDP – a member directory with private message features located in the members-only portal (use step 1 above to gain access).
Explore our member-only resource center. Receive access to the UIDP Resource Center. Many UIDP resources are direct outcomes of member-led projects and help member representatives save time, train their teams, evaluate different approaches, and solve difficult problems.
We’re here to help you make the most of your institutional membership. Contact info@uidp.net for support.
How to get the most from membership
The value each organization receives depends on its goals and level of engagement. Members get more from UIDP when representatives across the organization participate.
Five effective ways to maximize membership are:
- Participate in projects. Work with peers to address shared challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Use UIDP resources. Apply guides, tools, recordings, and training materials to your day-to-day work.
- Attend events and learning programs. Build knowledge and relationships through conferences, workshops, webinars, and regional activities.
- Engage the network. Use myUIDP, the member directory, events, and UIDP introductions to exchange perspectives and find expertise.
- Share your opportunities. Ask UIDP to help promote relevant RFPs, initiatives, jobs, events, webinars, and collaborative opportunities.
In short: Share your experiences. Collaborate with your peers. Solve issues together.
