Webinars

As part of its activities in support of UIDP members and for the betterment of the general academic, corporate, government, and non-profit sectors, UIDP regularly offers webinars on topical areas of interest.

Want to present a webinar? UIDP can host!

We provide webinar services to both members and non-members who want to share information and ideas that are relevant to the academic and corporate sectors and other interested parties. See details.

UIDP webinars broadly fall into these categories:

Technology Webinars

These webinars provide an opportunity for members to present opportunities for partnership and new technologies that they are developing. For example, UIDP has effectively helped NSF IUCRC sites network with industry to advance their research priorities.

UIDP Showcase Webinars

Service providers can showcase and raise awareness of tools, resources, or services that our members find valuable in their work. Sponsors propose the webinar topic and present the material (often in collaboration with a client or customer) as a case in point, and often with a demonstration of the product/service. Topics must be pre-approved, and presenters must demonstrate knowledge of the interests and needs of the UIDP community. Apply to present a UIDP Showcase Webinar.

UIDP Academy Webinars (including Contract Accords & Researcher Guidebook)

These webinar series discuss the content from UIDP learnings, including specific contract accords. This is an effective training resource.

UIDP Project Webinars

UIDP Project webinars take two forms. Project webinars can feature the outcomes of a UIDP project. This is an opportunity for members and non-members alike to learn about how to address the barriers to U-I collaboration that have been addressed by a UIDP project. Project Update webinars are interactive webinars exclusively for members. These webinars give members an overview of either an active UIDP project or the entire UIDP Project Portfolio. There are opportunities to engage with project working groups, to ask questions, and to provide further insight on the topics that UIDP projects address.

All webinars are free of charge for members and recordings of past webinars are always available to members. If you have an idea for a future UIDP webinar, let us know.
