Webinar: Basic Budgeting Strategies for Industry Agreements
July 10, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
The budget is key in determining whether it is feasible to proceed with a sponsored project. The budget should reflect the funding required to successfully undertake the proposed project and allow the industry sponsor to assess whether those funds are available. Budgets detail and format may vary but include direct and indirect costs. Sometimes additional funds from other sources such as the state or federal government may be required. This session will provide a summary of budget and payment terms and considerations as well as discussion of some related issues and solutions.
Who Should Attend?
This is a basic-level webinar targeted to corporate and academic representatives who are new to the responsibilities of initiating, reviewing, negotiating, or managing university-company research contracts, including representatives of technology transfer, sponsored projects, economic development, university relations/business relations, researchers and research staff.
